With 180 mm of travel at the fork, the Sonic EVO EN 2 falls into the shred-machine category. To accommodate the large damper with reservoir in the Sonic EVO EN 2, Bulls relies on a rear suspension with horizontal damper. Particularly noteworthy on this bike is also the integrated seatpost.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. Even gnarly inclines the Bosch motor easily climbs up well. The Bosch Performance Line CX provides a very natural riding experience with a dynamic power delivery. Achieving such a perfect balance between natural support and power is something few other engines can do. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Bulls Sonic EVO EN 2 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

Solid endurance qualities are shown by the chassis of medium quality. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Bad brakes reduce the riding pleasure. Fortunately, this is not the case with the Sonic EVO EN 2. With their four pistons and large brake rotors the TRP brake brakes good. The narrow #reifen_inch_breite Schwalbe tires do not do this Enduros range of use any justice. In our opinion, Bulls has saved weight in the wrong place here. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. For additional points in downhill handling, the low bottom bracket integrates the rider well into the bike and pulls the centre of gravity down. Due to the short chainstays , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. We love deep bottom brackets, as long as it's going downhill. Uphill you need to be aware that the crank can sometimes hit the ground.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Bulls Sonic EVO EN 2

The Sonic EVO EN 2 isnt`t a specialist on the trail. Despite an average chassis and a mediocre groupset, it remains thanks to a good motor, a good brake system and a good geometry a solid all-rounder with a wide range of use. Be careful when choosing the size: The Aluminium frame sizing runs big.
