The designers at the Cologne-based Bulls brand have gone all out on the Sonic EVO EN-SL Daytona. The flat top tube harmonises perfectly with the seat stays and forms a visually appealing contrast to the bulky down tube. The bottle holder under the top tube is accessible at all times while seated.
In the automotive and motorcycle world, Japan has always had a reputation for being a breeding ground for excellent engines. Shimano is doing its utmost to live up to this reputation in the e-bike world with the EP8 engine. With torque under the motor cover, the support is generous. Nobody needs to fear steep hills anymore. Furthermore, the power of the motor control is regulated so that the start always feels dynamic,. Thanks to the good range, longer tours with the Sonic EVO EN-SL Daytona are no problem.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Bulls Sonic EVO EN-SL Daytona in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (13000) .

Even the most treacherous downhill runs are effortlessly handled by the high-end Intend chassis. When it comes to the brakes, Bulls reaches for the top shelf and instals premium brakes with four pistons and large brake rotors from Trickstuff. For an All Mountain , the Schwalbe tires with a width of #reifen_inch_breite inches are relatively narrow. In our opinion, Bulls could have put on wider tires. A nice touch: The gear and components are on a very good level. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Bulls Sonic EVO EN-SL Daytona

For tours, the Sonic EVO EN-SL Daytona with a very good chassis, a very good brake system and a very good groupset is well equipped. The proud price of 12999 € requires a fat wallet unfortunately.
