Cannondale is one of the classic brands in the mountain bike world. Unlike many bikes without a motor, the Habit Neo 2 doesn't have any technical frills. Despite the damper being in the frame, there is still enough room for a bottle holder.
The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. With torque under the motor cover, the support is generous. Nobody needs to fear steep hills anymore. Furthermore, the power of the motor control is regulated so that the start always feels dynamic,. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Habit Neo 2 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

Rough descents take away some of the fear thanks to the average chassis. If the trail gets rougher however, the comparatively weak chassis can quickly limit the downhill fun. Thanks to the solid power, the Magura brakes can be counted on in the upper class segment. With four pistons in front and two pistons in the rear and big brake rotors, Cannondale won't take any chances in that area. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Cannondale Habit Neo 2

For tours, the Habit Neo 2 with a good motor, a good brake system and a good geometry is well equipped. Only with a middle ground chassis and a mediocre groupset you have to look away. With 25 years of warranty, nothing stands in the way of a long-term relationship.
