Cannondale Moterra Carbon LT 1 Review

Already the appearance of the Moterra Neo Carbon LT 1 reveals: this bike wants to produce adrenaline in the downhill.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. With torque under the motor cover, the support is generous. Nobody needs to fear steep hills anymore. Furthermore, the power of the motor control is regulated so that the start always feels dynamic,. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Moterra Carbon LT 1 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (8000) .

The good Rock Shox chassis absorbs even larger roots with the calmness of a Buddhist monk. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. At the rear, the steel spring shock absorber provides maximum sensitivity. With its four pistons and larger brake rotors the SRAM braking system decelerates fantasticly. This allows you to maintain control over your own pace even in the steepest descents. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. When it comes to the geometry, Cannondale does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Overall, the geometry does not seem to be up to date anymore. The competition is significantly more modern in this regard.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Cannondale Moterra Carbon LT 1

The Moterra Neo Carbon LT 1 is clearly strong in uphill riding. Even though other bikes might shine more in the a middle ground groupset, this one does not disappoint: With an average groupset, there's nothing stopping the uphill flow. Praise-worthy: 25 years of Warranty on the Frame!
