The straight lines, integrated saddle clamp and well-routed cables let the Grand Canyon:ON 7 WMN come across aesthetically even at a low price point. The design has always been a strong point of the German direct shipper Canyon.
In the automotive and motorcycle world, Japan has always had a reputation for being a breeding ground for excellent engines. Shimano is doing its utmost to live up to this reputation in the e-bike world with the EP8 engine. Steep ramps are no problem for the Shimano motor. Additionally, the Shimano EP8 stands out with a well-rounded riding feeling and a gentle power delivery. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Canyon Grand Canyon:ON 7 WMN in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (3000) .

As the bumps get bigger and rougher the average SR Suntour fork limits the downhill fun. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Canyon uses average parts. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Canyon Grand Canyon:ON 7 WMN

The Grand Canyon:ON 7 WMN isnt`t a specialist on the trail. Despite a weak range and a middle ground fork, it remains a solid all-rounder with a wide range of use. With a guarantee of 6 years, the warranty is generous.
