With 180 mm of fork travel, there's no question about this bike's range of use. Who rides the Torque:ON 9, wants to shred trails. The integrated seat clamp and the USB charging port on the top tube are not absolutely necessary, but nice to have.
Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by EP8. No matter how steep or technical the climb is: the Shimano motor makes it conquerable! At the same time, the drive provides a natural feeling while riding with a harmonious power delivery. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Torque:ON 9 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

The golden shine Fox chassis can certainly be described as excellent. With its absorption qualities, it can easily absorb rough shocks in descents and provide calm behind the handlebars. Setup-Nerds can squeeze out the maximum performance from the chassis thanks to the many setting options. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. When it comes to the brakes, Canyon reaches for the top shelf and instals premium brakes with four pistons and large brake rotors from SRAM. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Canyon goes all-in and only uses extremely good parts. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. Furthermore, the bike lies excellent on the trail thanks to its low bottom bracket and thus low centre of gravity. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. Overall, the Canyon developers have done a great job with a god geometry. We love deep bottom brackets, as long as it's going downhill. Uphill you need to be aware that the crank can sometimes hit the ground.
