Centurion No Pogo F860i Review

Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. The Shimano motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a well-rounded riding feeling and a harmonious power delivery characterises the Shimano EP8. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the No Pogo F860i with only an average range.

On rough descents, the moderate chassis limits you and demands a more precise line choice than bikes with better chassis. The mid-range brakes from Tektro do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The components and the shifting seem less important for Centurion. The components used here have a clear potential for improvement after a view at the competitors. When it comes to the geometry, Centurion does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. For additional points in downhill handling, the low bottom bracket integrates the rider well into the bike and pulls the centre of gravity down. Too steep and technical uphills are less the comfort zone of the No Pogo F860i. On bikes with a steeper seat angle and longer chainstays, it is much more relaxed to climb in demanding terrain. We love deep bottom brackets, as long as it's going downhill. Uphill you need to be aware that the crank can sometimes hit the ground.
