As with the ewme models, the rear shock of the Xyron S 5.9 is well protected by the split seat tube in which it hides.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. With torque under the motor cover, the support is generous. Nobody needs to fear steep hills anymore. Furthermore, the power of the motor control is regulated so that the start always feels dynamic,. Thanks to the very good range, you should no longer have any range problems even on very long tours.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Xyron S 5.9 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

Even nasty descents get smoothened by the good Fox chassis. With its four pistons and larger brake rotors the Shimano braking system decelerates fantasticly. This allows you to maintain control over your own pace even in the steepest descents. Taking a holistic approach also includes looking at the gearing and components. The components are of good qualtiy and offer no reason for criticism here. When it comes to the geometry, Conway does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Even when it gets really steep, the long chainstays will stick the front wheel to the ground. The steep seat angle puts the rider far forward in the bike. This puts pressure on the front, which additionally increases the climbing abilities in technical uphills. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Conway Xyron S 5.9

For long tours, the Xyron S 5.9 with a very good brake system, a very strong range and a good motor is well equipped. With 5 years of warranty, nothing stands in the way of a long-term relationship.
