There are few companies with such a wide E-MTB product range as Focus. The JAM² 8.0 is one of the most successful E-MTBs ever developed in Stuttgart.
The Performance Line CX Smart System from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. The very natural motor control and the dynamic power output characterise the character of the Bosch motor. This great combination mixed with lots of power, is something only a few other motors at Bosch's level can achieve. Thanks to the very good range, you should no longer have any range problems even on very long tours.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Focus JAM² 8.0 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (9000) .

The very good chassis with 160 mm travel in the front and 150 mm rear hub also proves to have a lot of resilience even on rougher terrain. With its four pistons and larger brake rotors the Shimano braking system decelerates excellently. This allows you to maintain control over your own pace even in the steepest descents. The components and the gears are less in the spotlight with an EMTB than with bikes without motor. Nevertheless, when we take a look we find out that here, good components are always used. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Focus JAM² 8.0

The JAM² 8.0 is a real multitool for long tours on extreme technical trails. With a top-notch motor, a very good chassis and a very good brake system make it a capable All Mountains from Focus with a very wide range of use. With 6 years of warranty, nothing stands in the way of a long-term relationship.
