In this version, the E-Riot Trail Advanced comes across more aesthetic than the cheaper aluminium version. The independent rear end concept with closed frame triangle for more stiffness stays the same.
The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. Also seemingly hopeless inclines the Bosch motor easily climbs up well. The Bosch Performance Line CX provides a very well-rounded riding experience with a dynamic power delivery. Achieving such a perfect balance between natural support and power is something few other engines can do. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the E-Riot Trail Advanced in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (5000) .

The Rock Shox chassis provides safety and traction, even when the trail gets rougher. However, it comes to its limit at high speed. The mid-range brakes from Tektro do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. When it comes to the geometry, Ghost does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. For the good geometry, the developer team of Ghost definitely deserves props. Such a knack for detail in geometry is rarely seen.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Ghost E-Riot Trail Advanced

The E-Riot Trail Advanced is a great climber. With a very good geometry and a good motor, long tours in the on demanding single trails are enjoyable. However, there is also a bitter pill to swallow with an average groupset and a mediocre range. The warranty of 5 years proves that Ghost has a lot of trust in its products.
