GT Force Current Review

In the automotive and motorcycle world, Japan has always had a reputation for being a breeding ground for excellent engines. Shimano is doing its utmost to live up to this reputation in the e-bike world with the E7000 engine. At steep sections, the somewhat weak Shimano motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The Shimano E7000 gives off a rough riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Force Current , because of its low range.

As the bumps become faster and harder, the low-quality chassis could limit the descending fun quite early. The components and the shifting seem less important for GT. The components used here have a clear potential for improvement after a view at the competitors. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Overall, the GT developers have done a great job with a god geometry.
