Even though Hercules has the image of a traditional brand, the product developers mix a 29er front wheel with a 27.5 inch rear wheel in the Nos FS 2.2. We think that's a pretty progressive approach for a brand that normally deals with trekking bikes.
As a component giant, Shimano is mostly known for its dominant position in bicycle gears. But with the EP8, the Japanese are clearly showing that they can look beyond their own plate too. With torque under the motor cover, the support is generous. Nobody needs to fear steep hills anymore. Furthermore, the power of the motor control is regulated so that the start always feels dynamic,. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Nos FS 2.2 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (5000) .

On rough terrain, the Nos FS 2.2 with its average SR Suntour chassis lacks bit of control. At the brakes, Hercules middle class four pistons brakes by Shimano are used. For an All Mountain , the Schwalbe tires with a width of #reifen_inch_breite inches are relatively narrow. In our opinion, Hercules could have put on wider tires. Shifting and components still leave room for improvement. Other providers dig deeper into their pockets for these assemblies. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Hercules Nos FS 2.2

Even though the Nos FS 2.2 is not a top of the class, it still has a clear character. Despite a simple chassis and an average brake system, it remains a solid downhill rider. So Hercules appeals mainly to single trail lovers.
