With the double-bridge fork and the rough look, the Extreme Cross 9 almost looks like a motocross machine. There's no need to speculate about the intended range of use.
Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. Also angriest ramps the Shimano motor easily climbs up well Although the EP8 isn't the strongest when it comes to maximum power, it still has its advantages.. The Shimano EP8 provides a natural riding experience with a gentle power delivery. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Extreme Cross 9 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

The good SR Suntour chassis confidently dampens small and medium bumps. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. The mid-range brakes from Magura do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. Furthermore, the bike lies excellent on the trail thanks to its low bottom bracket and thus low centre of gravity. It's no use beating around the bush: the geometry of Husqvarna doesn't suit our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge here. We love deep bottom brackets, as long as it's going downhill. Uphill you need to be aware that the crank can sometimes hit the ground.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Husqvarna Extreme Cross 9

With a middle ground brake system and a mediocre groupset, the Extreme Cross 9 definitely has weaknesses. Nevertheless, it remains a solid all-rounder with a wide range of abilities , thanks to a good motor and a good chassis.
