The classic American brand Intense has been late to the e-mountain party. With the VPP rear end and the curved lines, however, the TAZER Pro relies on the same ingredients as the Intense bikes without a motor.
Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. The Shimano motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a well-rounded riding feeling and a gentle power delivery characterises the Shimano EP8. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the TAZER Pro , because of its low range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the TAZER Pro in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

In the about 7000€ price range, most manufacturers use aluminium as the frame material. With a carbon frame, Intense turns the weight screw and sets itself apart from the competitors. Even on rough terrain, the TAZER Pro doesn't lose its composure thanks to the excellent Fox chassis, giving you a lot of control. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Whoever wants to ride fast, needs good brakes. The Shimano brakes are equipped with four pistons and large brake rotors. That way, the premium brakes decelerate more than adequately. The shifting and the rest of the components are always in the shadow of the engine when it comes to electric mountain bikes. Nevertheless, Intense doesn't skimp here and instals very good components. When it comes to the geometry, Intense does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Intense TAZER Pro

Overall, a very good chassis and a very good brake system speak a clear language. The TAZER Pro is a good bike with mini-downhill DNA
