The hole in the top tube of the MACINA KAPOHO ELITE is not only a design highlight, but can also be used as a storage compartment for a spare tube. However, it is even better suited as a handle for carrying passages on the trail or the way through the stairwell after a long bike tour.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX Smart System shows. Also angriest ramps the Bosch motor easily climbs up well. The Bosch Performance Line CX Smart System provides a very well-rounded riding experience with a dynamic power delivery. Achieving such a perfect balance between natural support and power is something few other engines can do. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the KTM MACINA KAPOHO ELITE in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

Rough descents take away some of the fear thanks to the average chassis. At the brakes, KTM middle class four pistons brakes by Shimano are used. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. When it comes to the geometry, KTM does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. Overall, the geometry does not seem to be up to date anymore. The competition is significantly more modern in this regard. Also, weight is an important factor when it comes to EMTB. The MACINA KAPOHO ELITE isn't exactly shining in this regard. There are lighter All Mountains on the market.

Conclusion

Expirience with the KTM MACINA KAPOHO ELITE

With a middle ground chassis and an average brake system, the MACINA KAPOHO ELITE definitely has weaknesses. Nevertheless, it remains a solid all-rounder with a wide range of abilities , thanks to an excellent motor and a very strong range.
