The model name is a dead giveaway for its intended use. The TOURMAXX ELS SPORT, with its 130 mm of front suspension travel, aims to impress on leisurely rides.
Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by EP600. Even nasty steep sections are effortlessly climbed by the motor. The Shimano EP600 conveys a riding feeling. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Maxx TOURMAXX ELS SPORT in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

The SR Suntour chassis provides safety and traction, even when the trail gets rougher. However, it comes to its limit at high speed. At the brakes, Maxx middle class four pistons in front and two pistons in the rear brakes by Magura are used. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. At a ° angle flat steer angle and the long reach, one can certainly speak of modern geometry. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Maxx TOURMAXX ELS SPORT

We believe that every bike on the market has its justification. However, when it comes to the TOURMAXX ELS SPORT, our assessment of its geometry, equipment, and frame is rather disappointing. In the price range about 6000€, there are bikes that appeal to us more. Perhaps the aesthetics or image can still convince you.
