When you let your gaze wander over the eONE-SIXTY 8000, you inevitably get sucked onto the steering tube. The integrated vents there are supposed to help cool the battery. In any case, they bring up a motorsport feeling. The carbon main frame is complemented by an aluminium rear triangle. Smart: there is a lighting system already integrated, so you are able to end late trips safely.
Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by EP8. The natural motor control and the gentle power output characterise the character of the Shimano motor. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the eONE-SIXTY 8000 with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Merida eONE-SIXTY 8000 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

The good Marzocchi chassis absorbs even larger roots with the calmness of a Buddhist monk. At the brakes, Merida instals upper class brakes with four pistons and large brake rotors from Shimano. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. If the Meta's chainstay length is less than 445, the short chainstay and, if the Reach's Relative Rating is less than 3, the relatively short reach characterise the Merida as a playful, agile bike. This makes it easy to navigate through winding trails. The small 27.5 inch wheels give the bike a lively character. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. Hell yeah, the geometry is killer! Here the know-how of the Merida developers is videly visible.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Merida eONE-SIXTY 8000

The eONE-SIXTY 8000 isnt`t a specialist on the trail. Despite an average groupset and an average range, it remains thanks to a very good geometry, a good motor and a good chassis a solid all-rounder with a wide range of use. A generous warranty also speaks of sustainable business practices. With 25 years of warranty, Merida sets the bar high!
