Design, design, design. The CRUSHER R sports a frame that's as stylistically dialed-in as it gets for an EMTB. The Spaniards have always had a flair for style. But how does the CRUSHER R fare on the trail?
Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by EP801. The well-rounded motor control and the gentle power output characterise the character of the Shimano motor. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Mondraker CRUSHER R in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

In the about 7000€ price range, most manufacturers use aluminium as the frame material. With a carbon frame, Mondraker turns the weight screw and sets itself apart from the competitors. A good chassis sits in rugged terrain and generates plenty of traction. That's exactly what the good Fox chassis in the CRUSHER R hits. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. The mid-range brakes from SRAM do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Mondraker uses average parts. In view of the high reach value, it becomes clear: The main frame is long. However, the generous reach is compensated for by a very short stem. This way, Mondraker creates a good weight distribution between the wheels and a balanced handling.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Mondraker CRUSHER R

Altogether, a good motor, a good chassis and a good geometry make the CRUSHER R a very good bike for friends of the uphill flow. It is destined for tours on extremely demanding single trails. No Yin without Yang. With a average brake system and a mediocre groupset, the CRUSHER R has its weaknesses too. With 25 years of guarantee, nothing can go wrong in the long run.
