The KERAM 30 27.5 is one of the cheapest bikes in the lineup of the Spaniards. The successful design and the external battery attached to the bottom of the down tube are special features in this price range.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Active Line shows. At steep sections, the rather weak Bosch motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The Bosch Active Line gives off a well-rounded riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the KERAM 30 27.5 , because of its low range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Orbea KERAM 30 27.5 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (2000) .

In rough terrain, the KERAM 30 27.5 lacks a bit of control with its only average fork. At the brakes, Orbea reaches for the bottom of the Shimano shelf and instals simple brakes with two pistons and small 18 brake rotors. The components and the shifting seem less important for Orbea. The components used here have a clear potential for improvement after a view at the competitors. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. On the scale, the KERAM 30 27.5 makes a good figure with 22,67 kg. Most Einsteiger-Bikes are significantly heavier.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Orbea KERAM 30 27.5

No doubt, the KERAM 30 27.5 makes its older competitors look like old news. Nevertheless, as a solid climber it still has some aces up its sleeve to convince bikers who prefer to go uphill. With 25 years of guarantee, nothing can go wrong in the long run.
