The Ekano High-end 29 is the first e-mountain bike from Propain. Here, the Lake Constance shippers stay true to their style and also offer the option of custom equipment. Otherwise, the Ekano High-end 29 appears unpretentious, at least visually.
Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. No matter how steep or technical the climb is: the Shimano motor makes it conquerable! At the same time, the drive provides a well-rounded feeling while riding with a harmonious power delivery. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Ekano High-end 29 , because of its low range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Ekano High-end 29 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (8000) .

At the chassis, Propain were generous and gave the Ekano High-end 29 a golden shine Kashima chassis from the house of Fox with 150 mm of travel at the front and 165 mm at the rear. Setup-Nerds can squeeze out the maximum performance from the chassis thanks to the many setting options. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Thanks to the solid power, the Magura brakes can be counted on in the upper class segment. With four pistons and big brake rotors, Propain won't take any chances in that area. Those who live for premium quality will love the transmission and parts of this EMTB. Here Propain cranks up the bling-bling factor to 11. When it comes to the geometry, Propain does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Overall, the geometry does not seem to be up to date anymore. The competition is significantly more modern in this regard.
