R Raymon AirRay 10.0 Review

At steep sections, the somewhat weak R Raymon motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The R Raymon Air Drive gives off a well-rounded riding feeling. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

Carbon frames are rather the exception in the price range of about 6000€. With the carbon fibre chassis, R Raymon thus sets clear accents compared to the aluminium competitors. On rough terrain, the AirRay 10.0 with its middle ground Rock Shox chassis lacks bit of control. The mid-range brakes from Formula do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. Wide tires provide more grip and comfort. R Raymon tends to fit narrow tires with its #reifen_inch_breite R Raymon tires. For an All Mountain, we would prefer wider treads. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. The flat head tube angle and long wheelbase provide riding stability due to the 65,5° angle. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. The scale stays at 20,4 kg with this model. That makes the AirRay 10.0 one of the light All Mountains.
