R Raymon TrailRay 160E 8.0 Review

At steep sections, the somewhat weak Yamaha motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The Yamaha PW-X2 gives off a natural riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the TrailRay 160E 8.0 with only an average range.

The chassis unfortunately isn't great. Riders might lack comfort on rough terrain. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Especially for heavy riders, the R Raymon brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. Wide tires provide more grip and comfort. R Raymon tends to fit narrow tires with its #reifen_inch_breite R Raymon tires. For an All Mountain, we would prefer wider treads. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, R Raymon uses average parts. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Overall, the geometry does not seem to be up to date anymore. The competition is significantly more modern in this regard. Also, weight is an important factor when it comes to EMTB. The TrailRay 160E 8.0 isn't exactly shining in this regard. There are lighter All Mountains on the market.
