Rose Bonero Plus 2 Review

The TQ HPR 50 is not one of the powerhouses on the market. The somewhat low torque engine could use a bit more support, especially on steep climbs. The motor control of TQ conveys a very natural riding experience. The harmonious power delivery is an ace up the sleeve of the HPR 50. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

Carbon frames are rather the exception in the price range of about 5000€. With the carbon fibre chassis, Rose thus sets clear accents compared to the aluminium competitors. The outstanding fork brand Federgabel absorbs roots with the equanimity of a Buddhist monk. Whoever wants to ride fast, needs good brakes. The Shimano brakes are equipped with four pistons and 2 millimeter rotors. That way, the premium brakes decelerate more than adequately. Those who live for premium quality will love the transmission and parts of this EMTB. Here Rose cranks up the bling-bling factor to 11. The relatively high reach value in the geometry table is compensated by Rose with a relatively short stem. Thus, the long main frame remains maneuverable in the terrain. When I looked at the weight of the complete bike, my jaw actually dropped. With 16,7 kg, the Bonero Plus 2 is a real lightweight. Especially going downhill, the good geometry of the Bonero Plus 2 really shines.
