Whether LT or ST version, the Swiss from Scor always rely on the same rear suspension concept. Thus, the 4060 Z LT SLX comes like all bikes from Scor with low-lying shock absorber. Also nice: two bottle cages can be mounted in the frame.
Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by EP8. The Shimano motor climbs steep ramps effortlessly. The natural riding feeling combines the Shimano EP8 with a harmonious power delivery. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the 4060 Z LT SLX in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

Carbon is considered a premium material in the bike industry. In the price range about 6500€, aluminium is usually the frame material used. With the carbon frame, Scor can clearly differentiate itself from many competitors. The Rock Shox chassis provides safety and traction, even when the trail gets rougher. However, it comes to its limit at high speed. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. When it comes to the geometry, Scor does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Due to the short chainstays , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Scor 4060 Z LT SLX

The developers of Scor have created a solid all-rounder with the 4060 Z LT SLX. Even though the E-Mountainbike reveals a weak flank with a middle ground chassis and a mediocre brake system, it remains thanks to a good motor and a good range:Genetiv a widely applicable vehicle.
