Scott Patron eRIDE 920 Review

To implement the tubular shapes from the Patron eRIDE 920 with an aluminium frame requires a lot of manufacturing know-how. The shock integrated into the top tube and the motor turned slightly upwards are the clearest features of the integrative approach. Thanks to the unusual motor position, the battery can be mounted particularly low in the bike. The rear light integrated in the fender can almost be called a trifle with so much innovation.
The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. The very natural motor control and the dynamic power output characterise the character of the Bosch motor. The well-tuned driving modes hit the mark. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Patron eRIDE 920 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

Solid endurance qualities are shown by the chassis of medium quality. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. When it comes to the geometry, Scott does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Also, weight is an important factor when it comes to EMTB. The Patron eRIDE 920 isn't exactly shining in this regard. There are lighter All Mountains on the market.
