One of the very few manufacturers that manages to highlight the lack of battery integration as a design feature. Among hardtails, Thok's MIG-HT is a rare eye-catcher.
Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by E7000. At steep sections, the somewhat weak Shimano motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The Shimano E7000 gives off a rough riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the MIG-HT , because of its low range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Thok MIG-HT in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (3000) .

Rough descents take the good Rock Shox fork brand its course, though not with the calmness of a top-end fork. In descending situations, the SRAM brakes require a lot of hand strength or, optionally, courage from the rider. With two pistons, they only brake poorly. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Thok uses good equipment. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Thok MIG-HT

With a simple brake system and a poor range, the MIG-HT definitely has weaknesses. Nevertheless, it remains a solid all-rounder with a wide range of abilities , thanks to a very good geometry, a good fork and a good groupset.
