Trek E-Caliber 9.6 Review

At steep sections, the somewhat weak FAZUA motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The FAZUA Evation Ride 50 Trail gives off a natural riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the E-Caliber 9.6 , because of its low range.

Carbon frames are rather the exception in the price range of about 7000€. With the carbon fibre chassis, Trek thus sets clear accents compared to the aluminium competitors. Solid endurance qualities are shown by the chassis of medium quality. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. On the scale, the E-Caliber 9.6 makes a good figure with 18,5 kg. Most Tourenbikes are significantly heavier.
