The internal cable routing through the headset gives the iLYNX RACE 7.8 a super clean look. Combined with the integrated seat clamp and the minimalist design, it creates a harmonious overall concept.
The BHZ BHZ, 65Nm is not one of the powerhouses on the market. The somewhat low torque engine could use a bit more support, especially on steep climbs. The motor control of BHZ conveys a natural riding experience. The harmonious power delivery is an ace up the sleeve of the BHZ, 65Nm. Fans of XXL tours will be happy with the iLYNX RACE 7.8 due to ist excellent range. The battery is firmly integrated into the frame and can not be easily removed.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the BH iLYNX RACE 7.8 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

In the about 75€ price range, most manufacturers use aluminium as the frame material. With a carbon frame, BH turns the weight screw and sets itself apart from the competitors. With 12 mm travel of the Fox chassis, it's not exactly generously equipped. However, in its preferred habitat, the Fox chassis works well in its on forest roads and easy single trails. At the brakes, BH instals upper class brakes with four pistons from Shimano. Wide tires provide more grip and comfort. BH tends to fit narrow tires with its #reifen_inch_breite BH tires. For an EMTB, we would prefer wider treads. Taking a holistic approach also includes looking at the gearing and components. The components are of good qualtiy and offer no reason for criticism here. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes.

Conclusion

Expirience with the BH iLYNX RACE 7.8

With a good motor, a good chassis and a $brake system_gut brake system, BH has put together a coherent package. Tour riders will find this bike a very good all-rounder for long tours on gravel roads and simple forest paths.
