Canyon Neuron:ON 8 WMN Review

Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by EP8. The natural motor control and the gentle power output characterise the character of the Shimano motor. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Neuron:ON 8 WMN with only an average range.

On rough terrain, the Neuron:ON 8 WMN with its middle ground Rock Shox chassis lacks bit of control. Especially for heavy riders, the Canyon brakes could be a problem. With two pistons they only decelerate averagely. The components and the shifting seem less important for Canyon. The components used here have a clear potential for improvement after a view at the competitors. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Short chainstays and make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. Overall, the geometry does not seem to be up to date anymore. The competition is significantly more modern in this regard.
