The NEURON:ONfly CF LTD is Canyon's first light eMTB and impresses above all with its high-quality frame. The team of developers and designers have not only succeeded in creating a good design, but also in adding useful features. The steering stop limiter or the integrated cable routing should be mentioned here, as well as the double-sealed bearings. The chassis is also available in five sizes from XS to XL.
The SX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. The developers at Bosch are entering the race with their first Light Motor, the Performance SX. With 55 Nm of torque, the unit sits squarely between Fazua's Ride 6 and TQ's HPR 5. However, it delivers similar power values to the popular Full-Power sibling, the Powermotor CX, with up to 6 watts of assistance. However, the Bosch SX only delivers this power at a very high cadence. To feel the full power, one must pedal at a sporty 1 revolutions per minute. The startup behavior remains harmonious. The entire motor control is natural. While in operation, the Performance SX is quieter than the Powermotor CX, but still louder than the sometimes whisper-quiet competition from Fazua or TQ. When descending, Bosch has managed to reduce rattling compared to the CX model, although it remains noticeably audible with the SX. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the NEURON:ONfly CF LTD , because of its low range. The battery is firmly integrated into the frame and can not be easily removed.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the NEURON:ONfly CF LTD in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (8000) .

The good Fox chassis absorbs even larger roots with the calmness of a Buddhist monk. Bad brakes reduce the riding pleasure. Fortunately, this is not the case with the NEURON:ONfly CF LTD. With their four pistons and 2 disc brakes the SRAM brake brakes good. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Canyon uses good equipment. When it comes to the geometry, Canyon does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. Hell yeah, the geometry is killer! Here the know-how of the Canyon developers is videly visible. The scale stays at 19,1 kg with this model. That makes the NEURON:ONfly CF LTD one of the light Trailbikes.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Canyon NEURON:ONfly CF LTD

If you're looking for a comfortable ride for everyday use, the NEURON:ONfly CF LTD isn't for you, because this bike only knows one gear when going downhill - full throttle! With an extremely good handling, a good chassis and a good brake system, it puts most of the competition in its place. Where there's light, there's inevitably shadows as well. With a weak range, NEURON:ONfly CF LTD has its weak points too. With 6 years of warranty, nothing stands in the way of a long-term relationship.
