The term flow has long been overused. That's why the folks at Norco in Canada probably decided to incorporate the word "Fluid" into the naming of the Fluid VLT C1 13.
The SX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. The Swabians from Bosch are sending their first light engine into the race with the SX. With 55 Nm torque, this unit places exactly in the middle between Fazua's Ride 6 and TQ's HPR 5. However, it delivers up to 6 watts of support, similar performance figures to the popular Bosch CX. The starting behavior remains progressive. The complete motor control is very $natural. In terms of installation space and sound, the small Bosch can't quite keep up with its competitors from the Light segment. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Fluid VLT C1 130 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (13000) .

A good chassis sits in rugged terrain and generates plenty of traction. That's exactly what the good Rock Shox chassis in the Fluid VLT C1 13 hits. Especially for heavy riders, the Norco brakes could be a problem. With four pistons and small 18 brake rotors they only decelerate averagely. Taking a holistic approach also includes looking at the gearing and components. The components are of good qualtiy and offer no reason for criticism here. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Too steep and technical uphills are less the comfort zone of the Fluid VLT C1 13. On bikes with a steeper seat angle and longer chainstays, it is much more relaxed to climb in demanding terrain.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Norco Fluid VLT C1 130

For tours, the Fluid VLT C1 13 with an excellent handling, a very good motor and a good chassis is well equipped. Only with an average brake system you have to look away. The proud price of 12999 € requires a fat wallet unfortunately. Praise-worthy: 5 years of Warranty on the Frame!
