E-mountain bike hardtails made of carbon are almost non-existent. The Sengo PMax Deore-10 LG occupies a niche with its high-quality approach.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. Even steep uphills the Bosch motor easily climbs up well. The Bosch Performance Line CX provides a very natural riding experience with a progressive power delivery. The well-tuned driving modes hit the mark. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Sengo PMax Deore-10 LG with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Simplon Sengo PMax Deore-10 LG in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

Carbon frames are rather the exception in the price range of about 6000€. With the carbon fibre chassis, Simplon thus sets clear accents compared to the aluminium competitors. The good SR Suntour fork dampens small and medium bumps confidently when mountain biking. The mid-range brakes from SRAM do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. At the drive components and the remaining parts, Simplon uses very good parts. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Simplon Sengo PMax Deore-10 LG

The Sengo PMax Deore-10 LG is a real multitool for tours on gravel roads and simple forest paths. Although there is still room for improvement at a middle ground brake system and a moderate range. Nevertheless, with a very good groupset, a good motor and a good fork make it a capable Tourenbikes from Simplon with a very wide range of use.
