Cannondale Moterra Carbon 1 Review

With 160 mm of fork travel, the Moterra Neo Carbon 1 is clearly designed for off-road use. But if you still have to ride home on the road after a long after-work ride, it at least has factory-mounted lighting.
The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. The Bosch motor climbs steep ramps effortlessly. The very natural riding feeling combines the Bosch Performance Line CX with a dynamic power delivery. The well-tuned riding modes cater to bikers of all preferences. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Moterra Neo Carbon 1 with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Moterra Carbon 1 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

The good Rock Shox chassis confidently dampens small and medium bumps. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. At the brakes, Cannondale instals upper class brakes with four pistons and large brake rotors from Magura. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Cannondale uses average parts. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. It's no use beating around the bush: the geometry of Cannondale doesn't suit our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge here.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Cannondale Moterra Carbon 1

The Moterra Neo Carbon 1 is clearly strong in uphill riding. Even though other bikes might shine more in the a middle ground groupset and a moderate range, this one does not disappoint: With an average groupset and an average range, there's nothing stopping the uphill flow. With 25 years of guarantee, nothing can go wrong in the long run.
