Giant TRANCE X E+ 3 Review

Voluminous frame, big battery and powerful motor: The TRANCE X E+ 3 is a classic e-mountain bike, as it should be. The difference between the aluminium and the higher-quality carbon frame is hardly noticeable at first glance.
Steep ramps are no problem for the Giant motor. Additionally, the Giant SyncDrive Pro2 stands out with a well-rounded riding feeling and a progressive power delivery. Thanks to the good range, longer tours with the TRANCE X E+ 3 are no problem.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the TRANCE X E+ 3 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (5000) .

As the hits get faster and harder the average chassis limits the downhill fun. At the brakes, Giant middle class four pistons brakes by Shimano are used. Shifting and components still leave room for improvement. Other providers dig deeper into their pockets for these assemblies. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. With weight, the TRANCE X E+ 3 is generally one of the heavier e-bikes on the market.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Giant TRANCE X E+ 3

With a simple chassis and a poor groupset, the TRANCE X E+ 3 definitely has weaknesses. Nevertheless, it remains a solid all-rounder with a wide range of abilities , thanks to a good motor, a good geometry and a great range. A generous warranty also speaks of sustainable business practices. With 25 years of warranty, Giant sets the bar high!
