Specialized Turbo Levo Expert Review

The Turbo Levo Expert was one of the trendsetters in the field of light E-MTBs years ago. Although quite a few manufacturers have now followed the trend from America, the Levo still remains a bike that should be considered in the purchase decision. The organic lines of the asymmetrical main frame are an absolute eye-catcher. The optical difference to a mountain bike without a motor is hardly noticable.
The high-torque Specialized motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a very natural riding feeling and a progressive power delivery characterises the Specialized 2.2. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Turbo Levo Expert in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (10000) .

Even nasty descents get smoothened by the good Fox chassis. On rough descents, the moderate chassis limits you and demands a more precise line choice than bikes with better chassis. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Thanks to the solid power, the SRAM brakes can be counted on in the upper class segment. With four pistons and big brake rotors, Specialized won't take any chances in that area. The components and the gears are less in the spotlight with an EMTB than with bikes without motor. Nevertheless, when we take a look we find out that here, good components are always used. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. For the very good geometry, the developer team of Specialized definitely deserves props. Such a knack for detail in geometry is rarely seen.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Specialized Turbo Levo Expert

For tours, the Turbo Levo Expert with a top-notch geometry, a good motor and a good chassis is well equipped. Only with a mediocre range you have to look away. The guarantee promise of 25 years provides trust.
