Even though there are few mountains around Stevens's headquarters in Hamburg, the E-Inception ED 7.6.1 GTF is equipped for extreme descents with 170 mm of suspension travel.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. Steep ramps are no problem for the Bosch motor. Additionally, the Bosch Performance Line CX stands out with a very well-rounded riding feeling and a progressive power delivery. This great combination mixed with lots of power, is something only a few other motors at Bosch's level can achieve. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Stevens E-Inception ED 7.6.1 GTF in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (5000) .

The frame on entry-level was stingy with control. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Especially for heavy riders, the Stevens brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Stevens uses average parts. When it comes to the geometry, Stevens does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. The view of the weight of 26,4 kg reveals: There are lighter Enduros.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Stevens E-Inception ED 7.6.1 GTF

With a simple chassis and an average brake system, the E-Inception ED 7.6.1 GTF definitely has weaknesses. Nevertheless, it remains a solid all-rounder with a wide range of abilities. Warning when choosing size: The E-Inception ED 7.6.1 GTF sizing runs small. Praise-worthy: 5 years of Warranty on the Frame!
