Scott LUMEN eRIDE 900 SL Review

The TQ HPR 50 is not one of the powerhouses on the market. The somewhat low torque engine could use a bit more support, especially on steep climbs. The motor control of TQ conveys a very well-rounded riding experience. The harmonious power delivery is an ace up the sleeve of the HPR 50. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly. Who wants to remove the battery for charging or storing, will be disappointed with the LUMEN eRIDE 900 SL. The battery is firmly built-in.

The at the fork qualifies the LUMEN eRIDE 900 SL for only touring on demanding single trails. In this area of use, the Fox chassis works quite well. At the brakes, Scott instals upper class brakes with four pistons from Shimano. At the drive components and the remaining parts, Scott uses very good parts. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. The weight of a bike is a key factor for the fun of riding. With 15,5 kg, the LUMEN eRIDE 900 SL is one of the lightest Trailbikes on the market. This turns the bike into a real joyride on the trail. Especially going downhill, the good geometry of the LUMEN eRIDE 900 SL really shines.
